Hey, y’all! I am a 20-something southerner who just moved to Seattle this summer. I have lived in the Carolinas for almost all my life (moved there before I could walk). When the time came to decide on residency programs, I fell in love with Seattle and was enamored with the idea of exploring a big city as well as experiencing a new region of the country.
I created this blog mostly so my family back on the East Coast will have what my parents call “POL” (proof of life). However, it will also serve as an outlet about my perceptions and experiences. As such, this blog will be a hodgepodge of the encounters of a Southern “belle” experiencing the PNW (anything involving food and outdoors) and de-identified encounters I have in the Seattle hospitals as a brand new resident.
